Workplace has inbuilt features for you to manage your videos. Learn how to add and edit captions and discover which languages are supported for captioning.

The easiest way to optimize the quality of your videos is to upload HD video.
If you're exporting your video from editing software (example: Final Cut Pro, Avid, iMovie) we recommend these custom settings:
  • H.264 video with AAC audio in MOV or MP4 format
  • An aspect ratio no larger than 1280x720 px
  • A frame rate at, or below, 30fps
  • Stereo audio with a sample rate of 44,100hz
Your software's guide should include information about exporting video with custom settings.
Keep in mind that videos must be less than 240 minutes long and smaller than 4GB. The longer your video is, the larger its file size will be. This may affect the quality of the video.

You can only upload 360 videos to Workplace from your computer.
A 360 video is created with a camera system that simultaneously records all 360 degrees of a scene. Viewers can pan and rotate a 360 video's perspective to watch it from different angles.
Uploading to Your Timeline
If the video was recorded with a 360 or spherical camera system that adds 360 metadata to the video file, then you can upload a 360 video to your Timeline the same way you'd upload any other video.
If the video was recorded with a camera system that doesn't add the 360 metadata to the video file, add the 360 metadata to the video file and then follow the same steps for uploading any other video to your Timeline.
Keep in mind 360 videos are limited to a maximum length of 10 minutes and a maximum size of 1.75 GB.

A video view is logged when a person has viewed a video for three seconds or more, including autoplay videos. One person can generate multiple views if they watch the video more than once. Views are accumulated and totaled across all the places where a video is shared.
